I am 18 years old and currently weigh 12 stone and I am 5ft 7. I carry my weight in my legs like my mum does; I'm a size 10-12 on top (but with Ecup breasts which need to go!!) but a 14-16 on bottom!. I am also diabetic so take insulin and have been told I may also have PCOS (poly-cystic ovarian syndrome) as I really struggle to lose weight even when I try my hardest. I have a holiday booked for in 5 months time and i am sick of feeling disgusted by my huge legs when i wear a skirt or a bikini (i wear thick black tights all year round to hide my legs but i cant really do that in greece!) I have been trying to lose weight but so far I have seen no results; I've been eating a 5/6 small meals a day that are low carb (as my doctor recommended so i could reduce my insulin intake) and been trying to stay at between 1200 and 1400 calories a day so that my body doesnt go into starvation mode! i go swimming twice a week, powerwalk with the dog five days a week for an hour+, running on saturday mornings and a bootcamp style exercise session once a week! that seems plenty to me but it isnt really working, does anyone have any tips for me? I know my big legs are hereditary but my mum has lost quite a lot weight from hers in the past but she finds it much easier than i do. Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated :)... Read More »
